Ride report from WheatGerm....Nine Spokejunkies gathered on a beautiful day at the Wilds. The trails were a little sloppy from the rains earlier in the day. OK, maybe a touch more than a little sloppy. We started at the North Country Campground and followed a superbly marked course by HWB/AOA, which were running the Muskingum Mayhem at the same time. The weather stayed dry until mile 8 or so when the clouds opened up. Rain was kinda of a relief and fun for a while...............
OK, story telling ain't woking. Here are some random thoughts from today's ride...
I am made of teflon.
Bleeder bled a little.
I remember names as well as Rigid spells.
Extra derailleur hangers are your friend.
If a tree falls in the woods, it does make a sound.
Fenders are also your friend.
There be eagles at the Wilds. At least it sure did look like an eagle.
That new wall section past Death Drop looks sweet. Can't wait until it dries out.
Heath is color blind. That gate is green, buddy. Not orange
A fun time was had by all.
